Leadership & People Management Training


As part of the Bank’s ongoing commitment to enhancing leadership capabilities, we have successfully concluded the Leadership & People Management Training program. This initiative was designed to equip participants with the mindset, skills, and ethical foundation necessary to lead with accountability, discipline, and empathy. The training strengthened their ability to manage teams effectively, navigate organizational change with confidence, and uphold integrity in decision-making.

Fintelekt Certified AML-CFT Professional (FCAP)


As part of the Bank’s initiative to certify relevant staff in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT), we have successfully completed the Fintelekt Certified AML-CFT Professional (FCAP) program. This certification program was undertaken with the objective of enhancing staff competencies in identifying, managing, and mitigating risks related to financial crimes, and to ensure continued compliance with regulatory standards and international best practices in AML and CFT.

Employee Awareness Training


As part of our annual awareness initiative designed to enhance employee understanding of proper system usage, anti-fraud practices, ethical conduct, financial well-being, and compliance with change management protocols, we are pleased that the training has been successfully completed for all Bank employees.

Customer Service Skills Training

In our continued commitment to delivering top-tier customer experiences, Customer Service Skills Training for front-line staff has been successfully completed. This training has equipped our team with the essential skills, knowledge, and mindset to consistently provide exceptional service—enhancing both customer satisfaction and loyalty. Through this initiative, we aim to cultivate a customer-centric culture across the organization, strengthening relationships and building lasting trust with our customers.

Coaching & Mentoring Program: Building Future Leaders

In line with our unwavering commitment to cultivating transformational leadership within the organization, we are proud to announce the successful completion of our Coaching & Mentoring Program for our identified successors. This initiative marks a significant milestone in our journey toward nurturing the next generation of leaders, contributing meaningfully to the continued growth and success of the Bank.

Asian Bankers Summit 2025

A delegation of 13 representatives from Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) participated in the Asian Banker Summit 2025, held in Hyderabad, India. Delegates from over 5 countries participated engaging in high-level discussions and networking with global thought leaders.

Contact Centre Training

As part of our commitment to ensure every customer interaction is handled with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency, we have successfully completed training for our Contact Centre. This training will equip our team with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to deliver exceptional customer service.

Professional Sales and Service Mastery Program

In line with our commitment to enhancing service quality and empowering our staff with essential skills in customer engagement, consultative selling, and service excellence, we have successfully completed the Professional Sales and Service Mastery Program. This initiative is designed to strengthen sales performance, cultivate enduring client relationships, and promote a culture centred on high achievement and customer focus.

Fire Awareness Training

As part of our commitment to workplace safety, we have successfully conducted fire awareness training for the Bank’s staff for the year 2025. This program aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills to effectively respond to fire-related emergencies, both in the workplace and in daily life.

Compliance Management Training Workshop

As part of our commitment to establishing and implementing best practices in compliance management, we successfully conducted the Compliance Management Training Workshop. This session provided participants with essential insights & practical strategies to enhance compliance frameworks, strengthen regulatory adherence, and mitigate risks.

Employee Due Diligence Training

This training aimed to provide staff with vital knowledge and skills to align with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards. Its emphasis was on fostering accountability, minimizing potential risks, and preserving the integrity of the organization.

Refresher Training on Income Tax, GST, Tourism related taxes, Employ withholding tax & FX regulations

This session intended to provide our employees with comprehensive and up-to-date tax and regulatory information, along with practical insights to ensure full compliance with all relevant requirements.

2024

Excellence in Corporate Banking

As part of our goal to develop Corporate Banking team we have successfully completed Excellence in Corporate Banking training. This training focused on equipping the team with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide high-quality services to corporate clients.

Strategic Enterprise Risk Management Alignment Workshop

As part of the ERM implementation we have successfully completed a 2 Day Strategic Enterprise Risk Management Alignment Workshop. This program helped the Bank to align all the departments with the Corporate Vision and understand their role in achieving the organizational target.

Team Building Programme - Unlocking Team's Potential

As part of our efforts to build high performance teams we have successfully completed Team Building programme for our employees. This training greatly emphasized on the importance of working together, developing strengths and improve team communication effectiveness while adopting corporate values of the Bank.

Certified Web Application Security Professional

Successfully completed Certified Web Application Security Professional training to meet PCI DSS required standards. In this training our employees were guided on how to develop applications securely as required by the OWASP & CWE security standards.

Incident Response & Management

Incident Response & Management training was successfully conducted on how to effectively handle various incidents or crises that may occur within the bank. This training provided our employees with practical experience and knowledge to effectively manage and respond to incidents in real-world scenarios.

Customer Service Program – Empowering All

We have completed our ongoing Customer Service Training Program, on Empowering All, with 20 participants, from various customer touch points.  The programme was very impressive and engaging. This one-day program was facilitated by well-known Local trainer, Mr. Masood Ali. 

Good customer service is a key element for any successful business and brings numerous benefits. This training will help staff to provide better customer service and resolve issues quickly, leading to fewer complaints.

Embracing a Growth Mindset to Evolve and Transform for Breakthrough Team Success

After a successful Sales trainings, we have completed another efficacious program for the senior management team.  This event was particularly focussed on learning development of the executive management leaders through the signature leadership program “Embracing a Growth Mindset to evolve and transform for breakthrough team success”. This half day program was also facilitated by the leading facilitator and coach Mr.Jonathan Low from Malaysia.

The session was highly engaged, and all went through different leadership immersive learning experiences as they take the lead to inspire their respective teams post program.

Professional Sales and Service Mastery program

Successfully completed the Professional Sales and Service Mastery program with 20 participants, and most of them are from Sales Centres and branches within the Atolls. This very impressive, one and half day program was facilitated by a leading facilitator and coach Mr.Jonathan Low from Malaysia.

The programme will help the participants to support and be of service to their customers, helping them to buy, creating great experiences, and strengthening the relationship, engagements, trust and, loyalty with them.
