PROJECT MANAGER (1) – PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE

Job Scope

Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of Bank-wide projects to ensure strategic alignment, risk mitigation, and compliance with Bank policies, while delivering project outcomes on time, within scope and budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project Planning and Initiation

  • Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with Project Sponsors and Owners.

  • Develop comprehensive Project Plans covering WBS, KPIs, risk registers, change management, communication, and UAT strategies.

  • Coordinate project approval processes, ensuring required sign-offs are obtained (Project Plan, BRS, etc.).

2. Project Execution and Team Coordination

  • Conduct and lead Project Kick-off meetings; communicate roles, timelines, and escalation paths.

  • Lead cross-functional teams and external vendors across project lifecycle phases.

  • Ensure availability of resources, infrastructure, and vendor contracts prior to execution.

  • Track progress against milestones and ensure task dependencies are managed.

3. Monitoring, Reporting and Performance Management

  • Monitor project performance using tools and metrics such as SV, CV, and KPI dashboards.

  • Conduct weekly project status meetings; escalate critical delays or risks to PMO, PSC, or MC as needed.

  • Submit structured progress reports, highlighting milestones, risks, budget use, and issue resolution.

4. Risk, Compliance, and Change Management

  • Identify, assess, and document risks across operational, financial, regulatory, and cybersecurity domains.

  • Work with RMCD and Technology to ensure timely completion of ORA, ISA, and CSA assessments.

  • Ensure changes in scope, timeline, or budget are escalated and approved per the Bank’s change approval matrix.

5. Testing, Go-Live, and Deployment

  • Oversee UAT planning, test script preparation, coordination with testers, and UAT sign-off by Project Owner.

  • Facilitate Go/No-Go readiness assessments and coordinate production deployment with Technology teams.

  • Ensure rollback plans, DR strategies, and post-go-live support structures are in place.

6. Project Closure and Review

  • Ensure business deliverables and success criteria are met before closure.

  • Lead Post-Implementation Review (PIR) and document lessons learned for process improvement.

  • Oversee the formal project sign-off and document archival in PMO records

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s Degree in related field with Minimum 03 years of work experience in a similar field OR,

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field with minimum 05 years of work experience in a similar field with 2 years of work experience in managerial position or similar capacity

  • Proven working experience as a project manager in the information technology sector.

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, etc.

  • Experience with project management tools, such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Clickup, Notion and similar tools.

  • Excellent client-facing, verbal, listening, and written and internal communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with direct reports, senior management, and other departments.

  • Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment.

  • Industry certifications relevant to the role such as PMP, PRINCE2, etc. are an added advantage.

  • Technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies are an added advantage.
