K Kuda Giri, Maldives – The Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has successfully planted 1,000 trees in K Kuda Giri as part of its commitment to supporting the government’s ambitious 5 million trees initiative. The event, organized in collaboration with Clean Maldives, the Maldives Police Service, MTCC, Eyecare Optical, Asia Forwarding, and HDC, aims to contribute to the Maldives' long-term environmental goals.

MIB’s CEO emphasized the importance of such initiatives in combating climate change and improving the nation’s biodiversity. "These efforts are crucial in supporting the Maldives’ sustainable future," he said. "We are proud to contribute to the government’s goal and raise awareness about the need for collective action."

This tree planting effort is expected to boost the island's green cover and enhance environmental awareness. MIB also announced plans to organize additional events in the coming years to further support the government’s target of planting 5 million trees by 2028.
