Naifaru Beach Cleanup: A Community Effort to Protect the Environment

Naifaru, February 1, 2025 – In a remarkable display of community spirit, the Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB), in collaboration with various local organizations, successfully organized a massive beach cleanup on Naifaru Beach. The event saw an overwhelming participation from both the island’s organizations and its residents, all coming together for a cleaner and greener environment.

During the cleanup, volunteers managed to collect over 3,000 kilograms of waste, showcasing the growing need for environmental awareness and responsibility. The effort not only removed harmful debris from the beach but also made a significant impact in reducing pollution in the area. Among the collected waste, all plastic bottles were carefully sorted and sent for recycling, reinforcing the importance of sustainable waste management practices.
