MANAGER FINANCE (1) – FINANCE & ACCOUNTS
JOB SCOPE
Responsible to prepare and maintain the books of the bank and ensure an accurate position as to its financial status both from the regulatory/statutory perspective as well as in respect of internal accounting. You are also expected to uphold the highest standard of financial accounting, management accounting and treasury support function of the bank.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare accounting and financial reporting requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory and international financial reporting standards.
Monitor and report the liquidity position as to maintain within the prescribed limits.
Manage and Monitor treasury investments and placements within the prescribed guidelines approved by the bank.
Compute, submit and pay taxes within the subscribed guidelines by the bank and the authorities.
Prepare and compile the Budgets and Business Plans annually.
Prepare schedules and reports required by external auditors and assist the preparation of the annual financial statements.
Monitor and manage General Ledger through the core banking system.
Manage and execute the profit distribution system on monthly basis.
Prepare monthly performance and other reports required by the management.
Record Fixed Assets and update the Fixed Asset Register timely.
Prepare and post period end adjusting entries including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and provision entries.
Ensure reports and returns required by MMA are prepared accurately and submitted timely.
Complete bank reconciliations and suspense accounts reconciliations within regular intervals.
Any other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or Professional Qualification in Accounting & Finance
Minimum 3 years of related work experience
Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
Reasonable knowledge and work experience in Islamic banking and Finance or Banking will be an added advantage.
Highly driven and self-motivated individuals with good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
