PROJECT COORDINATOR   - PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE

Job Scope

As a Project Coordinator in the PMO office, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of the Bank’s projects. This role combines strong organizational and analytical skills with a techno-functional approach to align project outcomes with business goals. You will work closely with various functional teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while adhering to governance standards and compliance requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Coordination & Delivery

a. Coordinate multiple projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s objectives.

b. Develop and maintain project documents, including project charters/plans, timelines/schedule, risk logs, and expenses.

c. Track project deliverables to ensure they meet scope, quality, and budgetary constraints.

d. Monitor project progress daily/weekly, identify deviations, and escalate risks, changes, and issues as necessary.

e. Act as the central driver of project timelines by fostering clear and consistent communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Ensure alignment on project goals, proactively address roadblocks, and champion accountability through strategic follow-ups, empowering the team to achieve timely delivery without compromising quality.

f. Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and identify improvement opportunities.

 

2. Collaboration and communication

a. Facilitate collaboration between internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution.

b. Organize and lead project-related meetings, such as kick-offs, progress reviews, and closeout sessions.

c. Ensure transparent communication and reporting of project progress, risks, and issues to all stakeholders.

d. Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and executed.

 

3. Governance and Process Improvement

a. Support the implementation and enforcement of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

b. Standardize project tools, processes, and templates under the PMO framework.

c. Develop and implement mitigation plans to ensure minimal disruptions to project delivery.

d. Maintain dashboards, reports, and project documentation to provide insights into performance and progress.

 

  1. Techno-Functional Support

a. Use a techno-functional approach to align technical solutions with business objectives.

b. Collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure the successful implementation of systems, solutions, and processes.

c. Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and deployment activities, ensuring deliverables meet business expectations.

 

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Certifications

· Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Industry-recognized certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile (Scrum Master, Product Owner) are an added advantage.

Experience

· Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in project coordination or project management roles.

· Experience in supporting cross-functional projects in a structured and process-driven environment.

· Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.

Skills

· Ability to analyze and document project requirements and ensure technical solutions align with business goals.

· Proficiency in project management tools like Microsoft Project, JIRA, ClickUp, or equivalent platforms.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage project risks and resolve challenges.

· Familiarity with process mapping, testing coordination, and quality assurance methods.

· Excellent communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder management skills.

· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

· Strong leadership, negotiation, and time management skills.
