Level: Assistant General Manager
Job Scope
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee projects within the Bank. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in project management methodologies, combined with the ability to align technical solutions with business needs. This role requires effective collaboration with internal departments, technical teams, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while maintaining compliance with governance and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Project Planning and Execution
a. Lead the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s strategic goals.
b. Develop comprehensive project plans, including charters, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
c. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
d. Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and budgets.
2. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
a. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure project alignment with business requirements and technical capabilities.
b. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
c. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, milestones, risks, and issues, fostering transparency and alignment.
3. Risk, Issue, and Change Management
a. Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing contingency plans to minimize impact.
b. Manage project changes, ensuring proper approvals, documentation, and communication to stakeholders.
c. Proactively resolve conflicts and roadblocks that may arise during project execution.
4. Quality Assurance and Delivery
a. Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, user requirements, and compliance guidelines.
b. Conduct post-project evaluations to document lessons learned and identify areas for process improvement.
c. Continuously improve project management practices, tools, and methodologies.
5. Techno-Functional Support
a. Use a techno-functional approach to align technical solutions with business objectives.
b. Collaborate with other teams to ensure the successful implementation of systems, solutions, and processes.
c. Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and deployment activities, ensuring deliverables meet business expectations.
6. Leadership and Team Management
a. Lead project teams effectively, fostering accountability, teamwork, and performance.
b. Motivate and guide team members to ensure successful project outcomes while maintaining a collaborative environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 5+ years of progressive experience in cross-functional projects, including at least 2 years of managerial oversight such as leading project teams, managing stakeholder relationships, etc.; OR
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 7+ years of progressive project management experience with at least 4 years in a managerial capacity overseeing the coordination and delivery of complex projects, cross-functional team leadership and resource planning in project management, including coordination and delivery of cross-functional projects.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
Skills and Expertise:
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban).
Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, ClickUp, or equivalent platforms.
Experience leading IT projects, including system implementations, process automations, and technical integrations.
Ability to manage project resources, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Strong problem-solving, risk management, and analytical abilities.
