JUNIOR ASSOCIATE – CARD ISSUANCE / CARD OPERATIONS
Job Scope
The Junior Associate – Card Issuance is responsible for executing day to day operational activities related to card issuance. The role includes card production, embossing, dispatch, inventory management and providing support to customer service. The ideal candidate must have a strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
Process card production and personalization requests from Apply Now platform, branches, and other internal systems within defined SLA timeframes.
Verify card application details for different products and ensure correct personalization and embossing.
Perform embossing, printing of daily mailers, and card packaging tasks with precision, ensuring accurate data personalization, timely dispatch, and proper documentation.
Handle the destruction and system closure of uncollected or expired cards, following SOPs and ensuring secure disposal and audit trail maintenance.
Handle urgent or compromised card replacements as instructed by AFCU, ensuring fast and secure issuance.
Coordinate with branches and sales centers for instant card production; track requirements and plan to meet demand.
Track and report card stock usage and assist in inventory control activities.
Perform reconciliation of produced cards versus dispatched records daily.
Process yearly fee charges and identify exceptions for escalation.
Prepare vouchers for approved fee reversals with complete supporting documentation.
Escalate MIB9 USD allocation issues affecting MVR cards to relevant units and assist in follow-ups.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of unused or returned cards.
Address basic customer and branch inquiries professionally and ensure timely resolution.
Assist in quality control checks, recordkeeping, and support internal audits or incident investigations.
Participate in testing activities during system upgrades or process improvements.
Requirements
Minimum 02 Passes in A ‘Level OR,
Minimum 03 Passes in O’ Level
Previous Customer Service experience will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in MS office suite of applications
Fluency in oral and written communications
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
