(SHIFT-DUTY)
Job Scope
As a key member of the Bank’s frontline defense and operations team, the NOC Administrator is responsible for supporting the stability, security, and performance of the Bank’s network infrastructure. This role combines hands-on technical support with proactive monitoring, cybersecurity vigilance, and adherence to operational and compliance standards. It plays an essential part in ensuring that network services run smoothly and securely around the clock.
Responsibilities
Network Monitoring & Health Checks
· Continuously monitor the Bank’s network infrastructure using dashboards, diagnostic tools, and monitoring systems.
· Review reports and alerts from the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system to identify issues and threats.
· Record, track, and report troubleshooting tasks to the Lead – Network Operations and the Head of Network, Infrastructure & Support Unit.
Issue Response & Troubleshooting
· Respond to network performance and security issues in real time, following escalation and incident response procedures.
· Troubleshoot problems highlighted in SOC, SIEM, or security audit reports by deploying relevant patches, updates, or configuration changes within service-level targets.
· Diagnose and repair issues with network hardware, cables, and connectivity components.
Security & Compliance
· Install security patches and updates to network equipment in coordination with infrastructure and security teams.
· Respond to security incidents according to the Bank’s incident response policy.
· Investigate, document, and report information security issues and emerging cybersecurity trends.
· Analyze and plan responses to newly discovered hardware or software vulnerabilities.
· Enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards related to network usage, security, and compliance.
Maintenance & Technical Support
· Install, configure, and maintain structured cabling, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
· Provide second-level technical support to users experiencing network-related issues.
· Maintain inventory and ensure proper upkeep of networking hardware and configurations.
· Support scheduled upgrades, firmware updates, and preventive maintenance tasks.
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain accurate documentation for device configurations, IP address allocations, patch logs, and incident resolutions.
· Generate periodic reports on operational activities, incident handling, and SOC/SIEM findings.
· Assist in maintaining an audit trail of infrastructure changes and support actions.
Team Coordination & Task Management
· Manage daily tasks of the Network Operations function including monitoring, maintenance, reporting, and support.
· Collaborate with senior team members to prioritize critical tasks and meet service-level commitments.
Requirements
· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or a related field.
· Knowledge of IP networking, cabling, routing, switching, and network security basics.
· Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, PRTG, or SIEM platforms.
· Strong analytical and documentation skills.
· Awareness of cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
· Ability to work in a high-availability environment and respond to off-hour incidents when required.
· 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in network support or operations, preferably within a banking or enterprise IT environment.
· Hands-on experience with firewall and switch configurations, patch management, and cabling infrastructure.
· Exposure to SOC/SIEM tools, vulnerability management, or security assessments is a strong plus.
