SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR CBS & APPLICATION SUPPORT (2) – / TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

JOB SCOPE

Provide first level support for application systems, troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues. Manage internal customer enquiries of application systems and escalate to L2 or external support parties for resolution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, administer, and provide support for application systems and the servers which hosts the application systems.

  • Install, manage, and maintain and patch management of the systems.

  • Provide technical support for servers including performance analysis, tuning, system setup, resource (e.g., I/O, CPU, memory) bottleneck identification/elimination, security, maintenance, setting standards and logical/physical database design.

  • Plan and implement new fixes for the application systems.

  • Develop and maintain the replication, backup, and restoration of data backups.

  • Maintain the SLA for the applications systems.

  • Taking backups and testing them for restoration according to the backup policies.

  • Assist and support to conduct trial runs in disaster recovery policy.

  • Regularly monitor the performance, analyze incidents, performance, metrics, and trends to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they develop.

  • Provide technical support on core banking system and electronic banking systems.

  • Install, configure, update/upgrade and maintain systems, servers, and storages.

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on resolving technical issues.

  • Document troubleshooting and problem resolution steps.

  • Research, test, or verify proper functioning of software patches and fixes.

  • Installing and configuring Virtual Machines, servers, and systems.

  • Fixing audit related activities.

  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to team project manager – routine reporting where needed

  • Prepare and develop system requirement specifications for software applications.

  • Provide help and assistance to resolve issues.

  • Escalates urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal or external resources.

  • Generate reports using scripts, report writers and other tools.

  • Assist and develop standard operating procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field, with minimum 3 years of work experience. OR,

  • Diploma in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field, with minimum 5 years of work experience.

  • be capable of determining and applying good logical methodologies in troubleshooting approaches.

  • be excellent in time management and must be focused and task oriented.

  • have exceptional verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.

  • be competent in Microsoft 365 applications or Office applications.

  • have knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.

  • Good interpersonal communication skill.

  • Able to work in a team to implement new IT solutions and have strong communication skills in dealing with suppliers and service providers.

  • Able to identify, analyse and resolve issues.
